When the image-recording quality is JPEG, continuous shooting is possible until the 4GB SD card (Canon standard test card) becomes full. With RAW+JPEG Large/Fine, "BUSY" will be displayed. However, continuous shooting is possible at approx. 0.8 fps (averaged value).
