Super-zoom lens is usually offered a package with the camera body EOS 600D, 60D and 7D. This lens had upgraded to the latest version with the STM (stepping motor) which costs Rp. 1 million more expensive than non-STM version. Canon claimed STM is able to increase the capacity and speed of autofocus, and more quiet. When purchased with a package EOS 7D camera, for example, we could save Rp. 2 Million rather than having to buy it separately.
Photozone claims that this lens is much better than the kit lens 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, has autofocus is pretty good but you should use a wide aperture avoided because the results are quite soft.
